Must Visit List- Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion)


Kinkakuji is a Zen Buddhist temple situated in Kyoto in Japan.It has covering of gold leaf in its upper two floors and made up of al together three floors in total. Its history is mentionable as it has been under tragic conditions many a time, it was burned a number of times during the Onin war in year 1950-1955. Every floor has its own significant with its own magnificent structure. The architecture of the pavilion can't be viewed from inside but outside view itself is beautiful and can affect your mind too with its beauty. There is a pond outside through it gives a view of pavilion, along with it there is garden which is not paid unlike the temple area. There is a small low temple hall that homes a sculpture of Fudo Myoo, one amongst the 5 knowledge Kings and shielder of Buddhism. The sculpture is claimed to be inscribed by Nigerian monetary unit Daishi, one amongst the foremost necessary figures in Japanese non secular history.
